Rick Roberts

Firefall Member

Rick Roberts (born August 31, 1949, in Florida) is a country rock and classic rock singer-songwriter who recorded with many influential artists over several genres in the 1970s. He is best known for his work with The Flying Burrito Brothers on their 1971 self-titled album and as a founding member and lead singer of Firefall from 1976 to 1981. He recorded two solo albums, Windmills in 1972 and She Is a Song in 1973. Although Roberts had rejoined his bandmates in Firefall briefly in the 1990s, he retired from performing due to illness; although in 2010 he returned to music and released two 4-song-EPs on iTunes and launched his website.

Rick is such an amazing singer-songwriter, so to have him love Say Goodbye is simply a dream come true!

Victor Miranda Rodriguez is a world class bassist, composer, and arranger who is comfortable playing R&B, Soul, Jazz, Latin Jazz, Funk, Samba, Cuban Music, and more. He toured with Al Di Meola extensively throughout USA, Europe, Japan and Middle East from 2004 to 2006. Victor recorded the bass guitar on Say Goodbye.

Rick played his Stratocastor electric guitar on Say Goodbye. Rick and David have been friends for 40 years and played in a band together back in the 70?s. Rick has played with some of the biggest names in the Music Industry including Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night! Rick is also a highly skilled Recording Engineer and was indispensable in the recording of this CD. Rick owns and operates Rocky Mount Recording located in North Carolina. Thank you for your artistic vision!

Chris Blood is a highly skilled engineer, session drummer, and performer and is the drummer for Clint Wiley?s None Other. He received his training at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA for Music Production & Engineering. He also has a degree in music from Berklee. Chris has an amazing ear for recording, mixing and mastering. So I was thrilled to have my CD mixed and mastered at Raptor Sound (Chris?s Recording Studio). He is also one of the nicest guys in the music industry.

Our website was designed, built and implemented by Rebecca Doerflinger. It has the feel and the heart that our music deserves. We thank you for not only possessing the skill sets it takes to build a website from the ground up, but you had a vision of what we wanted but sometimes could not articulate. Stuart Shelton


Stu is an accomplished composer, pianist, conductor and recording engineer. He is the owner of Shelton Studios, a state of the art recording studio located in Naples, Florida. He did an incredible job playing piano and recording the string section for Say Goodbye. I could never imagine having a musician on the keys as talented as Stu. He truly is a musician?s musician and I am so grateful for what he added to the CD.

Craig Christman


Versatile in all styles of music, Craig Christman plays sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and bass saxes; flute, alto flute, & piccolo; clarinet, and bass clarinet. He attended the University of Miami as a double major in Music Business and Studio Music & Jazz Performance, studying under Gary Keller and Gary Campbell. Craig is also a musical instrument repair technician, focusing on professional level instruments. Since graduating U.M. in 1998, he has become one of South Florida?s most in-demand woodwind performers and repair specialists for both brass and woodwind instruments. Ann is a talented vocalist, guitarist and was instrumental in the development of this CD. She sings harmony for Say Goodbye and invariably she always has the harmony part down before the melody is written or so it seems.

John Witt

Acoustic Guitar

John is a guitarist, singer, song writer and avid Taylor guitar collector. He has been a member of The Trade Winds Band for 20 plus years and he played his Taylor guitars on Say Goodbye.

Julius (Juice) Davis


Juice is a composer, pianist, and composition major. His keyboard playing in addition to David's Taylor guitar helps define David's sound. He is also a highly skilled composer having written songs recorded by Gloria Gaynor of I Will Survive fame. He is currently recording his own CD.

Manny Prince


Manny plays in a 18 piece big band out of Naples and Marco Islnd, SW Florida. He is a former menmber of the US Navy Band out of Great Lakes,Ill. I met Manny at a rehearsal for another band back in 2010 and the rest they say is history.

Keith Cook


Keith plays congas in David's band and he keeps the soulful beat going with his playing off the drummer. They make a rhythm section. He is also a drummer and he plays with several groups in the area.
